Ice-cream of over 1 million lei embezzled from company

The head of a company’s supply division is accused of appropriating merchandise to the value of over 1 million lei from the enterprise, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Prosecutor General’s Office. According to prosecutors, the woman aged 55, in November 2004 – March 2008, requested releasing ice-cream of over 1 million lei to ten economic entities with which the milk processing company cooperated. But, at her instruction, the ice-cream was freed to other companies than those indicated in the documents. The woman falsified signatures and stamps in order to hide the offense. The illegalities were discovered when the company found out that it had large debts. The case in which the woman is accused of appropriation and falsification of official documents was recently sent to court by the Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office.
