I trust Central Election Commission, political analyst

“I trust the Central Election Commission that examined the challenges submitted to it and said the violations were minor and cannot modify the election results,” political analyst Victor Popa stated for Info-Prim Neo, commenting on the Constitutional Court's decision to recount the votes. The analyst said the PCRM's actions cannot be regarded as deviations from the norm, but it is a waste of time. Moreover, the central electoral authority said the vote recount would cost 7 million lei, Victor Popa stated. The expert believes the vote recount may bring more votes to the Liberal-Democratic parties. In the hearing of the Constitutional Court, the PCRM's jurist Sergiu Sarbu said the party that he represents could obtain about 1% of the votes more after the recount.
