The secretary of the commission for studying the totalitarian Communist regime in Moldova Mihai Tasca said he regrets that the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) does not accept Mihai Ghimpu's proposal to discuss the report compiled by the commission. Asked by Info-Prim Neo to express his opinion about the postponement of the July 6 sitting of the Parliament, where the report was to be examined and a decision to condemn the totalitarian communist regime was to be adopted, Mihai Tasca voiced hope that those who oppose this condemnation will realize the necessity of this report until the present legislative body is dissolved. “I don't want to comment why some politicians oppose the examination because I will make them angry,” the historian said. The commission was to submit the report on the researches done by it to Acting President Mihai Ghimpu by May 31 and it did so. It had no other duties and obligations, Mihai Tasca said. The announcement that the Parliament's sitting had been postponed was made on Monday evening, after the AEI's meeting.
