Over 60 beds and matrasses, furniture and medical consumables were donated to the Emergency Medicine Institute by the international humanitarian pharmacy Anjou of France. The humanitarian aid handed over on July 11 is the third lot provided to the Emergency Medicine Institute, being the 25th lot offered to the national hospitals during the last 12 years, IPN reports.

The Emergency Medicine Institute’s director Mihail Ciocanu said the new beds will be distributed today to wards. By the end of this year, the Emergency Medicine Institute is to benefit from assistance for changing another 250 beds. All the old beds will be replaced in a year.

Attending the event, Deputy Minister of Health Oleg Creciun said the offered assistance is designed to improve the quality of medical services and to increase the satisfaction level of patients. Moldova cooperates with the international humanitarian pharmacy Anjou of France and counts on its support in continuation.

Philippe Chaudier, director of the public association “Degetel”, who represents the international humanitarian pharmacy Anjou in Moldova, said that this assistance represents an act of solidarity by which they want to support the patients and improve their recovery conditions. Philippe Chaudier also said that together with his colleagues, he aims to help change all the 600 beds of the Emergency Medicine Institute.

The assistance totals about €100,000.
