HR managers discuss efficient democratic governance at Chisinau conference

Democratic and efficient governance practices will be discussed at an international conference themed “Improving public service through efficient human resources management”, which will be held on March 28 and 29 in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. The conference brings together experts in management of human resources representing public administrations from Germany, Austria, Albania, Lithuania, as well as specialists from the World Bank and the European Union. As part of the event, the participants will share their experience in managing the public service in countries with rich democratic traditions. Also, the participants will hold discussions on the practices related to the selection of public servants, the remuneration system, professional development and the estimation of the performance of public officials. The problems addressed at the conference are incorporated in the central public administration reform, launched in 2006. The conference is organized by the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the World Bank.
