The 2022-2023 heating season started in the municipality of Chisinau on Monday, November 7. The General Public Amenities Division aims to connect all the apartment buildings in the municipality to the heat supply by the end of this week, IPN reports.
The Division’s head Ion Burdiumov said that according to the information furnished by November 4, the municipal housing stock, including the blocks managed by dwellers’ associations, is fully ready to be connected to the heat supply.
“We are ready and by the end of this week aim to start to supply heat to all the blocks in the municipality of Chisinau. Connection is not mandatory and the block is connected to the heat supply at the request of the manager or dwellers,” Ion Burdiumov stated in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services.
According to him, depending on the temperatures outside and in buildings, the managers will maintain the temperature so as to ensure reasonable consumption and the comfort requested by dwellers.
The administration of SA “Termoelectrica” in the meeting announced that 508 buildings of the 4,398 have been connected to the heat supply so far. This is about 12% of the total.
