The Emergencies Inspectorate is installing hot weather tents in Chisinau’s all five districts as well as in the municipalities of Balti, Cahul and Comrat. The tents will work daily from 11:00AM to 6:00PM in crowded places to provide water and first aid to people affected by the current heatwave. IPN reports.
In Chisinau, the tents are located as follows: in Botanica district, on Dacia Blvd near the shopping center “1000 de Mărunțișuri”; in Centru district, near the Central Market; in Riscani district, near the “Matei Basarab” Market, in Buiucani district, on 1 Calea Iesilor Street; and in Ciocana district, on 18 Ginta Latina Street.
The State Weather Service issued a heatwave advisory for August 14-16, with highs reaching 33-34 degrees Celsius especially in central and southern Moldova.
