The consumers in Chisinau have hot water again. The supply to all apartment buildings was restored after the May 4 accident. Iuliana Bogushevski, spokeswoman for the heat supplier SA Termocom, has told Info-Prim Neo that the supply of hot water was fully resumed at about 11am on May 5. The apartment buildings in Botanica, Ciocana, Rascani and Centru districts were the first to be reconnected. Those in Telecentru quarter and Buiucani district followed next. Earlier, Termocom director Mihail Cernei said the responsibility for the accident is born by Union Fenosa as the hydraulic accident in the lines that connect the thermoelectric plants CET 2 and CET 1 happened as a result of a voltage drop. Specialists of Termocom are to determine the damage caused by the accident and inform the power supplier Union Fenosa. “We will demand that Union Fenosa compensate us for the financial losses sustained,” said Iuliana Bogushevski. About 70% of the consumers in Chisinau remained without hot water as a result of the May 4 accident.
