The supply of hot water in the municipality of Chisinau will not work from July 8 until August 8. According to the public heat utility SA Termocom, the supply will be off for the period that repair works will be carried out on the technical equipment of the thermoelectric plant SA CET-2, IPN reports.
Under the current security norms, the heat and hot water supply system must be fully disconnected from the heat pipes before testing works. The owners of basements where there are heat pipes or that are located near such pipes must take precautionary measures in case the pipes burst.
Termocom warns that the underground pipes may burst near streets, yards and in the basements of apartment buildings and the hot water may come out. It recommends the dwellers to prevent the children from going to basements and places where there are signs that the hot water may come out suddenly.
In such cases and for additional information, the citizens can call the company’s dispatcher service on 022 441-138 (24/7).
