Representatives of S.A. „Termocom” announced that they will perform a survey in the near future in those approximately 800 buildings in the capital that are not assured with hot water. Commercial manager of S.A. „Termocom”, Mihai Arusoi says that the survey will be performed in common with the General Living-Communal and Arrangement Department. The workers from „Termocom” accompanied by administrators will ask selectively the inhabitants, putting down the opinion of several categories: old persons, youth, strong and week layers of society. The ones that will desire to have hot water will have to submit a request to Termocom. The provider will assure the building with hot water only if 70 -80 % from the inhabitants of a building will request this. The provider thinks that the refusal of benefiting from hot water shouldn’t come from the inhabitants of a block of flats, but from the administrators of associations and cooperatives, for whom receiving this service represents an added responsibility regarding the collection of payments and controlling the difference between the volume of hot water registered at the counter from the entrance of the building and the ones from each apartment. According to Termocom information, presently the difference that is not submitted for payment to the inhabitants represents MDL 27 millions. In order to find out the real reason why 800 blokes of flats from the capital are not assured with hot water, the interim mayor of the capital, Vasile Ursu requested the General Living-Communal Department to perform this survey back in April. Vasile Ursu proposed the organization of meeting with the inhabitants or their asking at home. Respective department made public the results of the survey in the end of May and they showed that the population doesn’t want hot water because it must pay for the difference between the counters in the flats and the one from the entrance of the building. Vasile Ursu, who thinks that the inhabitants are deliberately deprived of hot water by the administrators, declared back then that the survey doesn’t represents the opinion of the population but the one of the public servants, a fact that jeopardized the idea of public consultations.
