A hot water pipe burst on Vadul lui Voda St in Chisinau’s. Contacted by IPN, head of the public relations service of SA “Termoelectrica” Elena Junghina said the area was isolated and the leaked water is being pumped so as to localize the leak, IPN reports.
Photos of hot water flowing on the street with steam rising from it were distributed through social networking sites. The heat pipe that burst has a diameter of 1 000 mm.
Six intervention teams travelled to the scene. It is not yet known if consumers in the area remained without hot water. “Termoelectrica” assured that the intervention teams will do their best to restore the supply of hot water by this evening, in case of eventual disconnections.
