Hot season for Zdob si Zdub band

The “Zdob si Zdub” band will perform later this week in Linz City, Austria, as part of the DonauInselFest Festival, at the Hubert Von Goisern Kick-Off Concert for the “Linz Europe Tour 2007-2009”. The concert will take place on the O1 Kultul Insel stage on Friday, June 22. Beside the “Zdubs”, Willi Resetarits, Hohtraxlecker Sprungschanzen Musi (Bad Ischl) and, of course, Hubert Von Goisern are to perform, as well. The event will take place within the “Linz Europe Tour 2007-2009”, a project by Austrian musician Hubert von Goisern, who is planning to expand the cultural area towards the East, as well as to strengthen cultural partnership of the regions located on the over 2889 km of Danube. The deck of the “Linz Tour 2007-2009” ship to navigate on the Danube River will be transformed into a stage. Under this project, the ship will drop its anchor in 20 harbours of different countries, where various bands and artists will perform. At the end of the month, “Zdob si Zdub” will participate in the B’ESTIVAL, the most impressive festival ever in Romania, with the most in vogue stars of the time heading the bills, such as Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper, Pink, Faithless, Reamonn, Morcheeba, Kasabian, Wu-Tang Clan, Hooverphonic, Yonderboi and Phil Hartnoll (Orbital). The festival will run for 3 days, between June 29 and July 1, in the “Romexpo” parking covering a total surface of 30 thousand square meters. Over 30 groups from 10 countries will perform on the 3 B’ESTIVAL stages.
