Twelve hot air balloons of different colors and models will rise into the sky in turn within the fifth International Hot Air Balloon Festival that will be held in Moldova during May 25-27. The morning flights, of 6:30am, will be operated from Orheiul Vechi, while the evening ones, of 6pm, from Ivancea village, from the Moldtelecom Training Center.
Contacted by IPN, Sergiu Boghean, a member of the organizational committee, said the festival involves 12 pilots from six countries, namely Romania, Ukraine, Hungarian, Belgium, the Netherlands and Moldova. The host country is represented by three pilots.
To be able to fly by a hot air balloon, those who want must reserve a place beforehand by filling out a form on the website of the National Sports Club AEROBIS. The price is €99 per person. A flight lasts for 40 minutes to an hour. The flights of under 300 meters from earth with the balloon anchored to the ground cost 100 lei.
