Hosts dominated judo competitions

The present edition of the traditional judo tour, at which the prizes are offered by well-known coach Vasile Luca, has gathered over 280 sportsmen from 5 countries: Moldova, Belarus, Lithuania, Ukraine and Romania.
The participants contested for the first place in 10 weight categories for men and 7 for women. Vadim Bunescu, Nicon Zaborosciuc, Stanislav Rascan, Alexandru Darii, Petru Oglinda, Nicolae Grigorita from Chisinau, Stanislav Bezrutki from Transnistria, Nicolas Linaciavicius from Vilnius, Denis Halimon and Vadim Mikulski from Belarus became champions of their weight category.
As to women, Diana Caracas, Vera Topala, Ecaterina Crudu and Renata Bucatari, the pupils of the Republican Sports Boarding Lyceum, Diana Tonu of the Chisinau Sports Lyceum, Alina Moroz from Causeni, Tatiana Tost from Belarus won the champion titles.
The competitions ended the 2008 sports year of judo for young people.
