Nine district hospitals and one national establishment received operating tables, devices for monitoring vital functions, surgical lamps and emergency medical kits. Also, kits with surgical instruments, devices for immobilizing fractures and other equimpent was delivered at eight other national, municipal and district hospitals.
The Ministry of Health said that the equipment was bought by the World Health Organization with the financial support of the European Union, within the project “EU4Moldova: for a sustainable health system”, of the Government of Germany and Canada.
The donation event took place at the Soroca District Hospital, one of the beneficiaries. The total value of the donation, consisting of 40 emergency medical kits, 30 devices for monitoring vital functions, 20 operating tables and ten surgical lamps, is 11.5 million lei.
