Homeless man dies after receiving burns on 65% of body

A homeless man aged 61 died as a result of the injuries sustained in a fire that happened in a basement in Chisinau on January 16. Emergencies Service spokeswoman Liliana Puscasu has told Info-Prim Neo that the man went to spend the night near a thermal unit located in a basement on Calarasi St. He probably wanted to warm himself up and started a fire, which extended owing to the man’s inattention. He was found with burns on 65% of the body and died in the hospital several hours later. Three fires had happened in Moldova yesterday and last night.
