Holy Fire will be guarded by 170 policemen

A number of 170 police officers will supervise the transportation of the Holy Fire from the Chisinau International Airport to the Metropolitan Cathedral “God’s Birth”. In a news conference on Friday, Traffic Police Division deputy head Vasile Caba said that the street sections along which the Holy Fire will be conveyed will be closed for traffic for about 10-15 minutes, Info-Prim Neo reports. Parking of personal cars near and in the Great National Assembly Square and near the Metropolitan Cathedral will be banned on April 14. “Such a measure is needed in order to allow the priests that will come to the service to take Holy Fire to move freely,” said Vasile Caba. Starting at 11pm, police teams will patrol the area around the Metropolitan Cathedral and will prevent unauthorized parking.
