The international Hilton brand is entering the Moldovan market, with the first Hilton Garden Inn set to open in Chisinau in 2026. The project involves the reconstruction of the historic Hotel Dacia, located in the historic center of the capital, IPN reports.
Hotel Dacia has already begun hiring dozens of employees, and integration into the Hilton chain is expected to bring further opportunities for professional growth and staff expansion, according to representatives from the Investment Agency.
Dumitru Alaiba, the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, stated that the project involves an initial investment of €5 million, with a potential to increase to €10 - 12 million in the coming years.
"Investors choose to come when the economic environment is favorable, and recently we have seen increasingly promising signs of economic recovery. We are on the right track, and to achieve annual growth of 5–8%, we continue to work diligently with the essential support of the Economic Growth Plan," Alaiba said.
Hilton Garden Inn is a full-service American hotel chain owned by Hilton Worldwide, catering to both business and leisure travelers by providing an upscale lodging experience. The network includes over 860 properties with 126,086 rooms across 49 countries and territories.
