The urban transport fares in Cahul have been increased, Radio Univers FM Cahul informs, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
From January 1, 2008 the residents of Cahul city pay by 0.50 lei more for a journey on any of the urban transport. Under a decision made by the City Council on December 12, 2007, a journey costs 2 lei.
The decision says that the veterans of the Second World War and the children under the age of seven will travel free of charge.
The students and pupils will use season tickets.
A trolleybus ticket in Chisinau costs 1 leu, a bus ticket 2 lei, while a minibus ticket 3 lei.
