The Cabinet on September 7 approved a decision to raise the salaries of teaching staff starting with September 1, 2016, IPN reports, quoting the decision.
The rise was calculated based on the Law on the Teachers’ Pay System, taking into account the percentage increase in the average official salary forecast for this year, compared with the average salary of teachers in education in the fourth quarter of last year.
Thus, to reach the forecast average official salary, the monthly pays of teachers will be raised by 8.6%.
The financial resources needed for the purpose were earmarked in the 2016 state budget.
