BAC takers got higher grades for one third of the tests revised as a result of the contestations. Over 5500 grades went up by one point, says the Ministry of Education, cited by Info-Prim Neo. Between July 2 and 7, appeal commissions re-examined almost 17,000 tests, while applying a unique correction rubric for all papers. Members of the commission decided that 65.54% deserve the grade achieved at the first proofing, i.e. the grade did not change. 5,577 were awarded one more grade point, 40 papers went up by two points, and seven – by three points. In 170 cases the graded went down by one point, in 4 cases by 2, and 2 papers were downgraded by three points. The definitive results of this session will be published after the completion of the auxiliary session, which will take place between July 11 and 18. According to statistics, the most frequently achieved grade at this year’s BAC session is 7.
