The state benefit for persons with childhood disabilities and disabled children will be raised from 616 lei to almost 770 lei as of January 1, 2018.
A bill to this effect was proposed for public consultations by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family. If the raise is accepted, the benefit for this category of recipients will increase to nearly 820 lei as from April 1, 2018, IPN reports.
In the case of persons with accentuated childhood disabilities, the pension will be increased by 144 lei to approximately 719 lei. After the April indexation, this will rise to 765 de lei.
The benefit for invalids with medium disability degree will rise by 102 lei to 513 lei and to 546 lei after the indexation.
The measure will cover slightly over 27,000 people and the additional costs will total 68.5 million lei. The money was earmarked by the 2018 draft state budget law.
