The allowances for maintaining persons in social institutions will rise by 3%, in accordance with the consumer price index for the previous year, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision.
The money will be used to provide the persons with basic necessities, such as food, medicines, clothing, footwear and dressings. The new norms will take effect on March 1 this year.
Almost 2 million lei will be allocated from the state budget for implementing the decision.
