Tariffs for centralized heating rose throughout the country, with the increments ranging from 4.1% in Balti to a staggering 88.5% in Cahul, Info-Prim Neo reports. Under a decision recently approved by the Energy Regulation Agency (ANRE), tariffs rose to 1,686 lei/Gcal in Criuleni (73.4%), 1,355 lei/Gcal in Cahul (88.5%) and 1,350 lei/Gcal in Glodeni (60.9%). Even if the increment was less steep, of 17.3%, the biggest tariff is in Calarasi, where consumers will have to pay 1,766 lei for a gigacalorie. The new tariff for consumers in Ungheni town will be 1,326 lei, up by 17.8%. CET Nord will deliver warmth at a tariff of 1,056 lei, up by 6.9%. For the customers of the utility Termogaz in Balti, the tariff rose just by 4.1%, from 1,047 to 1,090 lei/Gcal. The only location where the tariff decreased is Stefan Voda – from 1,466 to 1,386 lei/Gcal – where the local utility doesn't supply warmth to residential consumers, but only to schools, the town hall and other social facilities. ANRE director Victor Parlicov explained the discrepancies in tarrifs across the republic on the difference in the numbers of customers and in costs incurred by each utility. The new tariffs are yet to enter in force with their publication in the Official Gazette.
