Heating season stops today

Starting March 19, apartment blocks in the Municipality of Chisinau will be disconnected from the centralised heating system. An ordinance in this respect was issued by interim mayor Vasile Iordan at the City Hall session on March 19.
According to Iordan, this decision is justified by the high temperatures during the next 3 days (an average of above 8 C°).
According to the ordinance of the interim mayor, the Communal Department, Health Department, Education, Science, Youth and Sports Department as well as other consumers of thermal energy in Chisinau will undertake the necessary actions to disconnect consumers from the centralised heating system.
At the same time, the interim mayor asked “Apa-Canal Chisinau” JSC and “Termocom” JSC to make sure that the supplies of hot water are not stopped.
The current heating system lasted 6 months. It started on October 16, 2006.
