Heating season starts in Chisinau

General Mayor of Chisinau Municipality Dorin Chirtoaca ordered the beginning of the 2007-2008 heating season, starting Monday, October 15. The ordinance has been signed due to the fact that the average air temperature was 8 degrees Celsius and lower for three days. According to the ordinance, “Termocom" JSC and ”Apa-canal Chisinau" JSC will connect the educational and healthcare institutions and the living blocks to the centralised heating system, on the basis of technical authorisation. At the same time, district offices, Education Department, Healthcare Department, Housing Department, administrators of the housing sector of all forms of property and other consumers of thermal energy will ensure the operation of the connection works and will inform weekly the City Hall about the process of connection to heat. Deputy Mayor Igor Lupulciuc was assigned as the person in charge of the execution of the ordinance’s provisions.
