The heating season for all the nurseries, schools and hospitals and for the apartment buildings were at least 50% of the dwellers asked to be connected to the centralized heating system began in Chisinau on October 12, IPN reports.
In the ordinary meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, the head of the General Housing Amenities Division Petru Gontea said there are apartment buildings where the dwellers oppose the connection for financial reasons and therefore it was decided that only the buildings where at least 50% of the dwellers agree will be connected to the heating system at the first stage. When more dwellers ask to be connected, the second stage will be launched and all the buildings in Chisinau will be connected to the centralized heating system.
The joint stock company “Termoelectrica” started to supply heat on October 10. As many as 27 facilities, including hospitals, economic entities and apartment buildings, have been connected to the heating system so far. The heating season is opened when the average temperature does not exceed 8 degrees Celsius during three consecutive days.
