The Ministry of Health is holding talks with producers of drugs used to treat mild and moderate forms of COVID-19 - Molnupiravir and Pfizer Paxlovid – so as to ensure the presences of these medicines on the market of subsidized medicines, secretary of state at the Ministry of Health Zinaida Bezverhni was quoted by IPN as saying in a news conference.
“We are making maximum effort to ensure the presence of these medicines in drugstores in the Republic of Moldova for the patients to benefit from them as access means not only physical presence, but also economic access,” stated the functionary.
Zinaida Bezverhni also said that the Ministry is bracing for the next wave of COVID-19 that is expected the next months. It is reassessing the list of subsidized medicines provided for treating COVID-19.
