Health Minister is first Cabinet official unveiling income

Health Minister, Ion Ababii, is the first member of the Cabinet to accept unveiling the full declaration on incomes and properties for 2007, part of the campaign “Property in Sight,” Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the declaration, in 2007 Ion Ababii got 92,100 lei on his job. In addition, the minister gained 192 lei from pedagogical activity and 18,000 lei from scientific works. Last year, Ababii inherited half of his parents’ house in Ochiul Alb village, Drochia district, and 2.5 ha of land in the same locality. The drive “Property in Sight” was launched by the Obiectiv anticorruption publication of the Independent Press Association (IPA) and by the Anticorruption Alliance. Earlier, income declarations have been unveiled by speaker Marian Lupu, deputy speaker of Parliament Maria Postoico, MPs Dumitru Braghis, Grigore Petrenco, Vlad Cubreacov, Valentina Serpul, Vitalia Pavlicenco, Ion Varta, Oleg Tulea and Vlad Filat, Chisinau mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, Chisinau deputy mayor Nistor Grozavu, Floresti mayor Iurie Tap and deputy Education minister Ion Ceban.
