President Nicolae Timofti voted early in the morning for the people’s wellbeing and called upon the Moldovans to take part in the elections and not to allow others to decide instead of them. “I came to the polling place with the most positive thoughts. I prayed to God to clear our minds so that we vote for the forces that will lead us on the correct path,” said President Timofti, quoted by IPN.
“I voted for the people’s welfare so that we lived better, in peace and harmony, and see those good promises made during the election campaign fulfilled. I’m sure we will succeed if we are united,” stated Nicolae Timofti. As to Parliament, the head of state said he is confident that the future legislative body will adopt good laws for the people.
He also voiced hope that the people will be responsible and that no provocations and other actions aimed at destabilizing the situation will take place on the election day and the next days.
