Head of state praises efficiency of Medicine Agency

Medicine Agency proved its efficacy. Moreover, via measures of promoting and supporting the local producer, the situation of the strategic producer – Municipal Enterprise “Farmaco” - has been improved, a fact that leads to the strengthening of the internal pharmaceutical security of the state, considers the president, Vladimir Voronin. Within the frameworks of a sitting at the presidency with decision making authorities, it was mentioned that due to the implementation of a new system of public purchases of medicine, savings of financial resources have been reached as well as the growth of the transparency level of the acquisition process. Voronin was unsatisfied, though, by the existing system of hospital drugstores sections and their subsidiaries. In order to improve the existing system, the Government is to make the final arrangements of the reorganization concept of drugstores from hospitals and subsidiaries in localities. On the other hand, the head of state requested that price-making mechanism for pharmaceutical products is improved, pleading for the creation of a workgroup, which would operate a detailed analysis of this process. He also pleaded in favor of establishing a permanent control over the medicine proscribing procedure, as well as over its use by the medical-sanitary institutions.
