Head of Ministry of Interior polyclinic killed by bullet from hunter gun

The head of the polyclinic of the Ministry of the Interior died as a result of a gunshot wound in the evening of November 21, near the lumber room situated on the floor where he lived. According to preliminary enquiries, the 38-year-old man killed himself with the hunter gun he owned legally as a result of a moment’s inattention. Eugen Onica, spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior, has told Info-Prim Neo that the incident happened in Chisinau’s Botanica district at about 9pm. The circumstances of the case are not known. The only bullet shot penetrated the upper part of the thorax. The wound was fatal. The police were alerted by the ambulance doctors who were called by the man’s wife or the neighbors. An investigation is under way.
