The head of the Chisinau road maintenance company “Exdrupo” Efim Cheptanari was placed under arrest for 30 days based on a criminal case started by the Ciocana Prosecutor’s Office in February 2015, IPN reports, quoting the Chisinau City Hall.
The company’s director is suspected of allowing irregularities when purchasing paving slabs for yards of apartment buildings of Chisinau municipality in 2014-2015, together with two economic entities.
On October 5, the Ciocana Prosecutor’s Office took from the General Public Transport and Communications Division the file on the participation of “Exdrupo” in the tender contest and other documents based on which the contract between the company and the division was signed on June 9, 2014.
