“We are all citizens of the Republic of Moldova and must understand that it depends exclusively on us how and where we will live and who will lead our country,” said the head of the Bulgarian community in Moldova Fiodor Sabii. Contacted by IPN, Fiodor Sabii stated that the people must vote in elections even if they do not want to and must make their choice themselves.
The head of the Bulgarian community wants a President of all the people, who will support the people. According to him, it is the task of the future Head of State to motivate the people who are abroad to return home. This should also contribute to the creation of jobs and ensuring of decent living conditions for pensioners. The agricultural sector should be a priority for the President.
Fiodor Sabii also said that the President must maintain good relations with the West and the East so that Moldova’s interests are respected. Also, the Republic of Moldova must have good relations first of all with the neighboring states.
As to the current election campaign, Fiodor Sabii said the mass media supported a candidate or another, but the people had other expectations and expected the candidates for President to speak more about the needs of the people.
