The head and neck tumors oncology clinic was reopened after it had been extensively repaired, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Health, 900 patients are treated early at the clinic that has a capacity of 45 beds and 40 microsurgical beds. The clinic was founded 30 years ago at the initiative of academician Gheorghe Tabarna, with the aim of treating and studying the head and neck cancer. The clinic was repaired at a cost of 600,000 lei. The money was allocated from the reserve fund of the Oncology Institute, which consists of financial resources of the National Health Insurance Company, collected on the basis of contracts for the provision of medical assistance under obligatory health insurance policy.
