Hard-fought victory for Tornado

Tornado Chisinau started their UEFA Futsal Cup qualification campaign with a victory over Encamp Andorra 6-3. Although favorites, Tornado were given some hard time by Encamp, who led 1-0 at half-time thanks to a Raventos goal. The Moldovans began the second half very determined and scored three in the space of 4 minutes. Although the Andorra-based team managed to level, they finally succumbed to goals from Costantin Burdujel, Andrei Negara and Iaroslav Subbotin. In the other game of group C, Leotar Bosnia and Herzegovina, hosts of the qualification round, trashed Swedish side FC Falcao 10-0. The Moldovans, coached by Sergiu Turcanu, will play against the Swedes on Tuesday, August 16. Only the winner of the group will qualify for the next round of UEFA Cup.
