The residents of Hancesti town have a new summer theater that was fully built with financing from the local budget. The town’s mayor Alexandru Botnari has told IPN that the boxing championship “Cup of Mayor” was the first event held at the Green Theater, on the Independence Day on August 27.
The theater has a capacity of about 500 places. The works to build the stage and lay out the area for spectators cost the local authorities 70,000 lei. A sum of 700,000 lei was allocated from the local budget for rehabilitating the road up to the theater. The theater’s connection to the supply of electric power, the installation of LED lamps and of an individual meter cost 119,000 lei.
Alexandru Botnari said the summer theater will stage different cultural activities to cultivate the beauty among the residents of the town.
