About 50% of the yards of apartment buildings in Chisinau have been cleared of trees and branches that were downed during the late April heavy snowfalls. About two months are yet needed to fully remove the consequences of the calamities, head of the Public Amenities Division Petru Gontea said in an ordinary meeting of officials of Chisinau services, IPN reports.
“A lot of work was done last week. There were collected 432 trucks of the about 4,000 trucks collected so far,” stated Petru Gontea. According to him, of the over 1,000 yards managed by the municipal enterprises, 484 yards were completely cleaned. In another 100 yards, the works go on, while in 375 are yet to be started.
The head of the Public Amenities Division said about 4,000 trucks of leaves and branches are yet to be collected. It is estimated that the works will be completed in approximately two months.
