Hail damages roofs and crop fields

Tuesday’s hail and strong wind caused considerable damage in several districts of Moldova. According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the rain in Costuleni village of Ungheni district affected 120 hectares of sunflower, 100 hectares of wheat and 42 hectares of corn, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The hail and wind damaged the roofs of over 40 houses in Stefanesti, Rascaeti, Volintiri and Slobozia villages of Stefan Voda district.
A commission is assessing the damage caused.
The outlook for today is cloudy. Rain is forecast in the center and south of Moldova.
