MP Ion Hadarca may take the place of Corina Fusu in the Moldova-EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, where she holds the post of co-chairperson. A bill to this effect was put forward by the majority members of the Liberal faction in Parliament, IPN reports.
The task of the Moldova-EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee is to examine all the aspects of the bilateral relations. The Committee represents an open forum for debates centering on subjects of mutual interest. It includes an equal number of members of the European Parliament and the Parliament of Moldova.
It should be noted that after the split within the Liberal Party, Ion Hadarca became the leader of the Committee for Reforming the PL, while Corina Fusu is among the supporters of the Liberal leader Mihai Ghimpu. The lawmakers of the Ghimpu group represent the minority in the Liberal faction.
