Primary school students in the “Ilie Fulga” school and its kindergarteners will have a festivities hall and a gymnasium starting this year. Stauceni Mayor Valentin Satnic has stated on Monday at the new school year’s opening ceremony that the two halls have been built with local and municipal funds. Overall, 27 million lei have been spent on their construction.
The mayor has stated that these halls are absolutely necessary for an efficient education within this institution. The mayor has congratulated the children on the first school-day and wished them a great year. The establishment’s primary school and kindergarten are attended by about 500 children.
The head of Chisinau's education division, Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb, who was attending the opening ceremony, stated that this day is both important and beautiful for the children, and that the two new halls will improve the educational process. “We are going through very important and sometimes painstaking reforms. I see that the inhabitants of Stauceni are protected from their negative aspects. I realize that you are among the happiest because you have such studying conditions, and to study in such educational institutions.” mentioned the head of the division.
Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca was also present at the ceremony. He talked about the education reforms and urged the parents and teachers to go forward for the development of both the education as well as the entire capital. “I wish every teacher to have everything they need to practice their profession. I thank the parents because together we provide proper conditions for education, and I wish the children to start off their year well”, said Chirtoaca.
The state’s leadership has also addressed congratulations to the students. A message from Parliament Speaker Marian Lupu states that education is a priority of Moldovan society. “I am convinced that we can’t have a strong and European society without a modern educational system, focused on results. The politicians need to make every effort to provide excellent conditions both to the teachers and the students. And the duty of the teachers is always that of upbringing the children and preparing them for life and jobs”, says the Speaker’s congratulatory message.
Prime Minister Vlad Filat has wished the children a year full of accomplishments, good marks and vast knowledge. “Appreciate the school years of your life, because they are the most beautiful. Use any moment of the studying process rationally to accumulate knowledge and to affirm yourself in the modern world, and at the same time, to redeem your parents’ and teacher’s efforts who guide you through life”, reads the message.
On September 3, about 380,000 Moldovan students have gone to school. The first class of the day was held under the slogan “Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici – tribunes of national ideals” motto.
