Guest decapitated by host

A man aged 53 was found decapitated in the yard of a resident of Ghidighici village. General Police Commissariat spokesman Adrian Jovmir has told Info-Prim Neo that the body was discovered on December 23 at about 8pm by a young man, who called the police. According to preliminary investigations, the victim was killed by the man whom he was visiting. The host and the guest drank alcohol and started to quarrel. The owner of the house hit the invitee with an object in the head and then cut his head with a saw. The host’s wife witnessed the scene. She was under the influence and could not tell the police what exactly happened that evening. The man was put under arrest for 72 hours. He faces 12 to 20 years in jail or life imprisonment. According to the statistics of the General Police Commissariat, 30 cases of murder have been recorded in the municipality of Chisinau this year.
