Guard kills colleague probably by mistake

A guard illegally employed at a building site on Postei Street in Chisinau is charged with manslaughter after killing another guard, also illegally employed, apparently by mistake, Info-Prim Neo reports. The prosecutors reported that the accident happened in August 2008. The man got scared when he noticed a silhouette hiding in the dark behind the door of the guard post, pulled out his 9mm pistol and fired at the door. The bullet made a hole in the door and got in the head of what appeared to be the man's colleague. The man called an ambulance and the police immediately. The victim was still alive when the ambulance arrived, but died several days later in the intensive care unit of the Emergency Hospital. The man will now be tried by the Rascani District Court on charges of manslaughter.
