A group of veterans of the Special Police Brigade “Fulger” calls on the people, veteran and serving police officers not to allow to be engaged in acts aimed at destabilizing the domestic situation and at throwing the country into chaos. In a news conference at IPN, the veterans said the formation of a parliamentary majority and the investing of the new Government are legitimate actions recognized by the main foreign players – the European Union, the U.S. and Russia.
Veteran Constantin Covrig read an appeal by which they call on the police employees to remain calm and not to yield to the provocations staged by the opposition or other forces that urge to violate public order. When need be and the country is in danger, the veterans of the Special Police Brigade “Fulger” will take attitude to the created situation, as they did during the Nistru War of 1991-1992.
Asked by journalists which political parties aim to destabilize the situation in the country, Constantin Covrig said this is the Democratic Party that ignores the vote of most of the people and refuses to ensure a civilized process of transferring the power, creating all the preconditions for usurping the power in the state and trying to instigate illegalities.
Veteran Marin Grimailo referred to the statements about the attempts to destabilize the situation made by President Igor Dodon. He noted the veterans are ready to ensure guard when need be, including for his family. “We are disposed to defend any state official, any MP,” he stated.
For his part, veteran Viorel Moldovanu said the veterans are anytime ready to take part in the maintaining of public order, in all the events that are beneficial to the country and its people.
