The group of Socialists will not participate in the negotiations on the creation of a new Government headed by Prime Minister designate Iurie Leanca. The group’s leader Igor Dodon has told IPN the Socialists insist that Moldova should have a technocratic Government.
“We will not support a Prime Minister put forward by a political party. We will vote only for a technocratic Government,” said Igor Dodon, adding that the Socialists haven’t received an invitation to the talks.
On May 15, President Nicolae Timofti signed a decree nominating Iurie Leanca as a candidate for Prime Minister.
