The group of Socialists in Parliament will take a decision whether to vote for Vlad Filat as Premier or not next week, after the meeting of the National Council of the Party of Socialists, the party’s leader Igor Dodon said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
Dodon told the journalists that his proposal in the meeting will be not to vote for Vlad Filat. “If Nicolae Timofti had proposed a technocrat candidate, the Socialists would certainly have voted for him. We voted in favor of the dismissal of the Filat Government and I don’t think that something changed during these weeks. I think attempts will be made to convince us, but our position is clear,” said Igor Dodon.
He believes that if a new parliamentary majority is constituted, this coalition will be without ‘Ghimpu’s unionists’.
The designate candidate Vlad Filat announced that he will hold consultations with all the parliamentary groups and unaffiliated MPs in a move to secure support for the new government program and the new Cabinet.
