Grenoble to finance important projects for Chisinau

Chisinau will work out and submit to the local authorities of the French city of Grenoble applications for financing of several large-scale projects for Chisinau City. The proposal has come from a French delegation that met on Friday, July 6, with Chisinau Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca. The delegation included such officials as Laure Masson, councilman in the Grenoble City Council, and Francoise Rousset, attaché of the Grenoble University of International Relations and Research. The guests have expressed their hope for a true development and consolidation of the relations between the two cities. For his part, Dorin Chirtoaca named several areas which the Chisinau municipality is interested in, with a view to learning the experience of the French city’s authorities, such as: infrastructure development, trainings for the city civil servants, project assessments and, of course, European investments. Chisinau and Grenoble signed as far back as in 1977 a Friendship and Cooperation Convention.
