The Green Ecologist Party (PVE) on May 24 entered the campaign preceding the June 14 local general elections. The party’s candidate for the mayoralty of Chisinau Anatolie Prohnitski, alongside his team, presented his priorities in Europe Square of the central park of Chisinau. He noted that he wants to transform Chisinau into a green, contemporary and European city, IPN reports.
“We intend to create a consultative body of the Chisinau City Hall, which will involve former mayors, specialists with no criminal record, representatives of civil society and the national minorities and of other forces that want to do good things for the municipality of Chisinau,” stated Anatolie Prohnitski.
The representatives of the PVE aim to solve the problems faced by Chisinau and to transform it into a clean, green city with an improved infrastructure and with better conditions for the inhabitants. The team also intends to set up tracks for bicyclists and places for doing sports.
The party’s list of candidates for the posts of Chisinau councilor includes 31 persons. Among these are Anatolie Prohnitski, Gheorghe Cebotari, Alexei Palancean, Iuliana Cantaragiu, and Vasile Fotescu.
