The Moldovan Government is likely to issue its first ordinance in relation to the start of the additional financing offered by the World Bank (WB) – $10 million – for the Rural Investments Project (RISP II), premier Zinaida Grecianai told a news conference on June 11, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The accords for additional funding offered by the WB in the projects FISM II ($5 million) and Energetic II ($10 million) hopefully will be ratified by the present parliament before its dissolution because of the early elections. But for the financing of RISP II, approved on May 14 by the WB board, the crediting accord has not been signed yet. We only have delegated this competence to the finance ministry. That is why, governmental ordinances will be needed. The entrepreneurs expect these finances now, not in several months,” the prime-minister said. A draft law entitling the Government to issue ordinances was approved at the first sitting of the new cabinet. The draft law is needed to efficiently manage the specific situation Moldova is now, a situation determined by the global economic crisis and by the internal political crisis, said first deputy premier Igor Dodon.
