Governments of Moldova and Romania set common priorities

The construction of the Ungheni-Iasi gas pipeline will be a major project in the agenda of the Governments of Moldova and Romania, as agreed by Prime Minister Vlad Filat and his Romanian counterpart Victor Ponta in a telephone conversation, Info-Prim Neo reports. In this connection, Vlad Filat ordered that the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Justice prepare the project. The building of the gas pipeline will enable Moldova to diversify the gas supply sources by establishing interconnection with Romania’s energy system and to integrate into the European energy market.
